Transforming Amaragiri: ServiceNow's Commitment to Empowering the Chenchu Community

 March 17, 2025

Amaragiri, a remote village nestled in the heart of Nagarkurnool District, Telangana, is home to Chenchus, a resilient PVTG fishermen community that has long endured bonded labour and harsh conditions with limited livelihood opportunities.

Taking a transformative step,
ServiceNow, under the Tribal Village Adoption Project, embraced the responsibility of uplifting Amaragiri. Responding to the community’s needs, 4 large and 20 small fishing nets were provided to enhance their livelihoods. Additionally, 10 camp tents equipped with solar lamps were distributed, ensuring better living conditions. Further strengthening the village infrastructure, solar streetlights were installed, creating a safer and brighter environment.

This initiative is a model of sustainability in both social and environmental aspects. Socially, it empowers the community by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. Environmentally, it fosters clean energy adoption through the installation of solar-powered solutions.

Transforming Education: DBS Tech India Adopts Government High School in Sanath Nagar

 March 13, 2025

Government High School in Sanath Nagar, #Hyderabad, situated in the heart of the city, has long struggled with inadequate infrastructure and a lack of essential educational resources, impacting the academic progress of its 800 students. Taking a transformative step towards change, #DBSTechIndia, with nirmaan.org as an enabling partner, inaugurated the School Adoption Program (SAP) on March 13, 2025. As part of this initiative, the school now boasts a Dining Hall Shed, RO Water Plant, 16 kV Solar Panels, Dual Desks, Sports Equipment, Computers & Printer, CC Cameras, and Science Lab Materials, significantly enhancing the learning environment. The inauguration ceremony was graced by DBS Tech enthusiastic volunteers , who unveiled these newly established facilities. Beyond infrastructure, volunteers also conducted an interactive Career Guidance Session for High school students. Our sincere gratitude to DBS Tech for their commitment to education and community development, ensuring a brighter future for young minds.

Empowering Women in Tech: TechBlocks Hosts Mock Interview & Career Guidance Workshop

On March 12 and 13, 2025, TechBlocks hosted a two-Day Mock Interview & Career Guidance Workshop at its Madhapur office for Nirmaan's Women in Tech skill centre students.

With the support of 10 volunteers, 17 students participated in mock interviews conducted by industry professionals, receiving valuable feedback to improve their interview skills. The sessions also included career talks, discussions on job market trends, and interview strategies, giving students a clearer understanding of career opportunities.

The event concluded with a performance review and final tips, ensuring participants left with more confidence and better preparation for their future job interviews.

Empowering Women: Free Cancer Screening Camp on Women’s Day

Breast and cervical cancer are among the most common cancers worldwide, with millions of diagnoses each year and tragically over 600,000 deaths annually. However, early detection and preventive care can save countless lives.

To address this,
Silicon Labs, in collaboration with Nirmaan, has been conducting free screening camps every year across multiple regions.

On March 8, 2025, for International Women’s Day, we organized a free screening camp in Thumkunta, Telangana, benefiting 112 women with Breast and Cervical cancer Screening, facilitated by a team of three specialists, a General Physician, a Gynecologist, and a Radiologist, along with four nursing staff.

With 150+ participants, including 90 HR professionals from 80+ companies, and industry leaders & CSR representatives, Nirmaan HR Conclave has set the stage for the beginning of a series of HR Conclaves across India.

Infosys Foundation, the conclave brought together changemakers in Hyderabad on March 6, 2025, sparking crucial discussions on creating employment opportunities for marginalized youth.

National Science Day Celebration: Inspiring Future Innovators

On National Science Day (February 28, 2025), Nirmaan, in support & collaboration with HCLFoundation, has organized an Inter-School Science Exhibition at Government High School, NBT Nagar, Hyderabad. The event brought together 11 schools and over 350 enthusiastic students. Around 125+ innovative science and technology models were exhibited by students, reflecting their creativity & problem-solving skills.

The event was graced by HCLFoundation’s & Nirmaan’s leadership, including Ms. Madhuri Kankanala, Mr. Ram Srinivas, and Mr. Mahender Kasula, alongside dedicated HCLTech employee volunteers who played a key role in the smooth execution of the event.

To honor their hard work & creativity, prizes were awarded to the best models, inspiring students to continue their journey in scientific learning and innovation.

LGBTQIA+ History Month Celebrated in Hyderabad

On February 28, 2025, as part of the Satrangi Sankalp initiative by ServiceNow, nirmaan.org, successfully celebrated LGBTQIA+ History Month at Lamakaan, Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, in collaboration with the British Deputy High Commission and Liberty Rebellion.

The event brought together thought leaders, activists, and artists for insightful panel discussions on queer rights, inclusion, and representation, alongside captivating performances by queer artists. It also marked the anniversary of the Liberty Rebellion, reflecting on the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

Distinguished speakers at the event included Nalini Raghuraman, Divya Devarajan,

IAS, who joined virtually; actor LB Sriram; activist Meera Raghavendra; and Karthik Damerasetti, a queer disability activist.
