Child sexual abuse is a devastating reality that affects countless young lives, leaving lifelong scars and emotional trauma. It encompasses a range of harmful behaviors and actions that can severely impact a child's physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Sexual abuse is one of the most distressing forms of child abuse, involving forceful harm, inappropriate touching, and exposure to explicit content.
Did you know that many of these wrongdoers are disguised as relatives or family, friends, or individuals with impeccable reputations?
Despite the rich tapestry of our culture and the warmth of our communities, this silent epidemic continues to cast a long shadow over our nation’s children.
We firmly believe that it is everyone's responsibility to safeguard children and their futures from such predators. With this mission in mind, a collaborative effort involving PCT, Rotary, and Nirmaan has taken its first step with the program - "Swechha for Little Birds". This initiative aligns with sustainable goals such as improving health and well-being, educating on different types of abuse, and striving for quality education and gender equality.
The "Swechha for Little Birds" project distinguishes itself from other awareness programs by creating awareness among children aged 6 to 12. The program's content is tailored specifically for children and includes engaging, age-appropriate activities that make learning about abuse both informative and enjoyable.
