Revolutionizing Environmental Responsibility:

At Nirmaan, we believe in harnessing the power of innovation to create a sustainable future for all. In collaboration with Inorbit Cares, we proudly took up an initiative aimed at combating one of India's most pressing challenges: vehicle emissions and pollution.

India's bustling streets and highways have long been accompanied by a cloud of pollution from conventional vehicles. The repercussions are dire, with premature deaths and health complications plaguing communities nationwide. It's a crisis that demands immediate attention and decisive action.

With Inorbit Cares standing with us, we offered free pollution checks for vehicles to combat pollution. By obtaining a Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate and adhering to regular maintenance, we significantly reduced the carbon footprint of our cars and bikes.

What was the Program all about?

Every Saturday and Sunday - from January to March, we conducted free pollution checks at Inorbit Malls based in different locations of Hyderabad and Mumbai.

We mainly conducted checks for Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), NOx, Hydrocarbons (HC), etc. If these parameters fell within the permissible limits, a PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate was duly issued with a validity of 6 months to 1 year, depending on the vehicle.

How can PUC checks add value to Environment Conservation?

Proper maintenance and certification done through regular PUC checks can improve a car's fuel efficiency by 8-12%, thereby cutting emissions by 10%. POV: Each car emits approximately 4000 kgs of CO2 emissions per year, however, with maintenance, this could be reduced to approximately 400 kgs of CO2 per year. Similarly, two-wheelers can decrease around 300 kg annually with proper maintenance.

What was the Impact of this 3-month Initiative?

Within just three months of the program's launch, we were able to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,383.3 tonnes through PUC checks for two-wheelers and four-wheelers of customers and staff in three Inorbit Malls in Hyderabad and Mumbai.
