In the year 1947, India gained its independence after a long and challenging struggle. Many brave men and women came together to fight for the freedom of our nation. However, in the pages of history, the role of women often remained in the shadows.
On October 19, in collaboration with Abhivyakti, we hosted a Poster Exhibition – ‘Flames of India’ in Pune, marking the commemoration of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The event highlighted the remarkable contributions of women to India’s freedom movement, with over 1,000 women participating.
We were honoured to have Mr. Prashant Jagtap – MLA, Mrs. Damayanti Patil, a writer and descendant of a famous freedom fighter Hausabai Patil, and Mrs. Alka Joshi – Coordinator of Lokayat. Their diverse perspectives enriched the event and made it more engaging.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Abhivyakti and ADP for their invaluable contribution in helping us celebrate the courageous women of India’s struggle for independence and making the “Flames of India” Poster Exhibition a great success.
