Empowering Students to Shape Their Career Pathways

To empower students in making informed career decisions, honing their strengths, and exploring their interests, CGI conducted a career guidance session at MMA School, Pallavaram, Chennai benefitting 50 students on January 31, 2025. Executed by Nirmaan, the session introduced students to future career opportunities, scholarship details, and interactive brainstorming activities, helping students gain clarity on their aspirations, all made possible with the support of 9 volunteers. We are excited to announce the Career Guidance sessions will be implemented with CGI volunteers across Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra impacting over 400 students. We extend our heartfelt thanks to CGI and its leadership for their support in shaping students' journeys toward a brighter career.

Empowering Lives: CGI and Nirmaan’s Relief Efforts for Flood-Affected Families

January 1, 2025

In light of the recent devastating floods and landslides in several states of India, CGI, a leading global IT and business consulting firm, in partnership with Nirmaan as its CSR partner, successfully distributed livelihood re-start kits, agriculture kits, and sewing machines to affected families in Wayanad (Kerala), Assam, Khammam (Telangana) and in Pune during December 2024 and January 2025.

Nirmaan’s team executed the following relief and rehabilitation efforts: - Distributed 10 sewing machines and 15 agriculture kits to landslide-affected families in Wayanad - 20 sewing machines to flood-hit families in Assam - 20 Kits including - 10 Sewing Machine, and 10 Pushcarts for rehabilitation efforts in Pune. - Distributed 42 livelihood re-start kits, including 20 sewing machines and 22 pushcarts with fruits, vegetables, and weighing machines to flood-affected families in Khammam.

We sincerely thank CGI and its dedicated leadership for their generous support in aiding flood-affected families. Your contribution has provided much-needed relief and a fresh start for those striving to rebuild their lives.

Volunteering Session on "Interpersonal Skills " .

“As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.” -Hary Anne Radmacher The above saying is true with CGI. CGI volunteers are contributing their hours to train our aspirants on various aspects of Soft Skills. We @Niramaan Organization @ Kukatpally take this opportunity to express our gratitude towards CGI. For their time and effort. @Pushpak @CGI has taken a volunteering session on Interpersonal Skills. During those 2 hours of the briefing, he taught our aspirants on what exactly are interpersonal skills, how can they showcase these skills at the workplace and how their diet and sleep can affect their interpersonal skills. It was a really can information session. We extend our warm welcome to everyone to spread their light to others by taking volunteering sessions.

Volunteering Session on “Women Empowerment”.

Beneficiaries are 25 students from GAHS (G), Khanapur School, Nirmal Dist. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude towards @navya.k@cgi.com for her wonderful guest lecture and active participation in the virtual event “Women Empowerment”. It was an interesting session for our school students. This Session will be very useful to build their bright future. Topics covered: 1. What is Women's empowerment? 2. Why do we need women's empowerment? 3. Gender discrimination. 4. Female Infanticide 5. Dowry System 6. Marriage –child marriage 7. Atrocities on women 8. Ways to empower Women Students learned more from volunteer and volunteer conducted activity also given strength to the students to participate actively in the session. We would like to have more sessions from CGI for increasing knowledge of beneficiaries.

Volunteering session of art and craft

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Ms.RATNA SAHITHI for her wonderful guest lecturer and active participation in the virtual event ‘Art and Craft’ It was an inspiring session for our school students and teachers. This kind of session will be very useful in any situation for our mental ability. The topics covered are the layout of art, drawing, cutting, art and different patterns. 30 students from KGBV School benefited from this. It was a great session and well explained. Students enjoyed, were impressed and actively participated in the session. Students are excited about future sessions. Our sincere thanks to CGI for supporting us.

Speed Mentoring Program for the Girl Students

Our sincere gratitude to CGI CSR for a wonderful day-long Speed mentoring program for the Girl students from the Youth Skill Development center of Nirmaan Organization . Special thanks to CGI team Binoo Mathen Vandan Tulsi Manchella Arul Balasubramanian Aparna Chandan @Meeshad and all the managers who tailor-made this wonderful program that could benefit the students well. 30 girl students from Nirmaan YSD program along with Nirmaan team visited the CGI for this program. The day began with a Leadership Connect session where one of Senior leaders Rakesh Aerath interacted and answered the queries from the students. The students also learnt about success in life and career, the art of Resume writing from Mahalaxmi Reddy , an eye-opening session on Financial literacy by Pranavi, and the students were thrilled to listen to Anatte from US and all many more sessions by managers from CGI was very practical & enlightening. CGI leadership and volunteers also donated Laptops to the students which is of great help to these students. Their learning was very restricted earlier as they don't have digital devices to practice more. These laptops will enable all of them to explore and enhance their skills and do online learning without any stress.

Volunteer Session on "English Covering a Wide Range" at GGIC Noida and DDU Chiti School

On popular demand from Students, Mr. Niraj Kumar Suman came up with the idea of 11 days of continuous Sessions on English covering a wide range of relevant topics for 10th Class students. Thanks to CGI Volunteers Mr. Niraj Kumar and Miss Divya for thoughtfully designing, developing and organizing the entire series of the sessions on English for these students. The sessions included topics like Origin of English Language, its present scope and relevance, ways to learn and practice it in daily life, Introduction to Sounds, Syllables, Subject Verb Agreement, Introduction to Grammar, Parts of Speech, Phrasal Verbs, Modals, Commonly Mispronounced words, Comparative and Superlative Degrees, Verbal Fluency Exercise, Tense, Communication Skills, Email Etiquettes, Emotional Intelligence and Presentation Skills. 80 students from GGIC Noida and DDU Chiti joined the sessions and interacted with volunteers regarding their queries. The entire series was very interesting, inspiring, informative,and interactive. The question answer part, fun facts and quiz at the end of the session made it more exciting. The students got motivated to learn, read and speak English language. Thank you so much Mr. Niraj Kumar Suman and Miss Divya for their great interest in students' learning and the effort made for the same.

Volunteering Session on “ Financial Literacy” At Ameerpet Center.

On 10-June-2022, Nirmaan's corporate partner "CGI" has conducted a session on "Financial Literacy". Mr Brahmam Rayala from "CGI" have imparted knowledge to 30 beneficiaries of Ameerpet center. The topic was well explained with realt-time examples and provided the beneficiaries with good knowledge.
