IMPACT HIRING PROJECT IN ANDHRA PRADESH
The youth in India, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities, face significant challenges in accessing education and employment opportunities. Despite a 75% literacy rate among the youth, high unemployment persists due to a lack of essential communication and interpersonal skills. The pandemic has worsened the situation, leaving students uncertain about their career paths and practical experience.
Nirmaan, with the support of Microsoft, is addressing this issue through the Impact Hiring Program, which establishes Hiring Hubs to connect skilled youth with employers, providing guidance and support. This initiative empowers underprivileged youth, including women, PwD, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those from economically weaker sections, facilitating their entry into the job market and fostering economic and social empowerment. Nirmaan's goal is to positively impact the lives of 1000 underprivileged young girls and place 600 individuals in various sectors, making a lasting difference in the nation's youth employment landscape.
