On 17th December 2022, EPAM Systems in partnership with Nirmaan Organization inaugurated the e-Kids Digital Lab at Government High School Arikkambedu, Chennai. For the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Vijaykumar KN, Principal, Technology solutions, EPAM India, Mr. John Mota, CSR Lead, EPAM Systems India, Mr. Ushakar Keerthi, Senior Manager, Nirmaan Organization, Mr. Shiva Kumar, High School Headmaster, all the Teachers, Students, SMC Members, Parents, EPAM #Volunteers and Nirmaan Organization Team members participated.
Through the E-Kids program, EPAM has set up a fully functional computer lab with a full-time dedicated computer teacher to provide access to high quality computing education for 400+ students in GHS Arikkambedu, Chennai. An advantage of having computer-assisted instruction in the classroom is that the computers can serve as a tutor & the teachers can aid students in the learning process to maximize learning outcomes. Students will now have the opportunity to learn relevant digital skills needed to thrive in a digital world. The volunteers from EPAM played volleyball and throw ball games along with the students.
