Empowering Education: Synchrony Distributes 131 Bicycles to Students in Mulugu District, Telangana

On January 20, 2025, as part of Nirmaan’s Village Adoption Program, Synchrony distributed 131 bicycles to underprivileged students at the Government Junior College in Govindaraopet, a remote village in the Mulugu district of Telangana.

The distribution drive, implemented by Nirmaan Organization, was inaugurated by Smt. Dr. Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), Hon’ble Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare, Government of Telangana. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Divakar T S, IAS, District Collector, Mulugu, Ms. Ameena Shaikh, Assistant Vice President, Technology and Operations, Synchrony, Ms. Bridget Priya, Assistant Vice President, Technology and Operations, Synchrony, and Mr. Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat), Founder & Global CEO, Nirmaan Organization, along with other government officials and college staff.

This initiative was designed to address the challenges faced by students who walk 3 to 5 kilometers daily to attend college. By providing bicycles, Synchrony has significantly eased their commute, allowing students to focus more on their education and less on the hardships of travel.

We are grateful for the support of Synchrony in empowering the youth and enabling them to pursue their academic goals more comfortably and efficiently.
