Celebrating the Success of 876 Graduates from the Coding Initiative Program

March 24, 2025

Over 876 students from the Coding Initiative Program, supported by Wells Fargo, were honored at a graduation ceremony held in March 2025 across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Facilitated by Nirmaan, the celebrations were held at: - Government High School, Hoodi & Karnataka Public School, Varthur, Bengaluru. - Government Girls High School, Golconda & Nampally, Hyderabad. - Chennai High School, Ernavoor, Government High School, Ennore & Municipal Schools, Pallavaram, Chennai

These events were filled with inspiring speeches from school Head Masters and students, highlighting the impact of this initiative. Each graduate was proudly awarded a course completion certificate, recognizing their hard work. Beyond the classroom, students also showcased their skills in national-level Hackathon projects.

Over the past four years, this Nirmaan-led initiative has helped students with foundational knowledge in computers and programming languages, including Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Database, and Python.

Celebrating Student Innovation at Coding Hackathon 2024-25!

At Nirmaan, we are pleased to share the incredible journey of our students in the Coding Hackathon 2024-25, supported by Wells Fargo , held across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad on February 22, 2025.

Spanning school, state, and national levels in January and February, this hackathon provided students with a platform to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technological excellence. A total of 150+ innovative projects were developed, reflecting their passion and ingenuity. The Hackathon was a 2-month of hard work, ideas, competition and altogether a learning experience for our students.

Through a rigorous selection process, 51 projects advanced to the state-level hackathon, and 15 outstanding projects were chosen for the national-level competition, supported by Wells Fargo. Among these, three exceptional projects i.e., School Website, Bounce-in Ball Game, and Eco-Planet, secured positions in the Top 3.

Their journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing their continued success!

Our heartfelt thanks to Wells Fargo for their support in nurturing young talent, fostering innovation, and empowering future tech leaders. We extend our gratitude to the leadership of Bandana Jha and Sumona G. for not just supporting the program but scaling up to 5X in a span of 4 years. We started the project with 5000 students and are now impacting 25,000 students across Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The Successful Completion of the Bag Distribution Activity in collaboration with Wells Fargo

The successful completion of the Bag Distribution Activity on July 3, 2024, in collaboration with Wells Fargo, has brought immense joy to primary and secondary school students at Government Girls High School, Majeedia. We distributed 220 bags, each filled with books, pouches, and pencils, ensuring our students have the essentials they need for a productive school year. A special thank you goes to the school administration for their cooperation and assistance in organizing this event. We extend our deepest thanks to Wells Fargo for making this possible. Your contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of these students.

Celebrating Success: A Glorious Graduation Ceremony

We are thrilled to share the joyous news of our Graduation Ceremony, held in Hyderabad on April 23rd, marking the culmination of our Coding Initiative. This event was a testament to the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of our remarkable students. Our Graduation Ceremony honored the achievements of students in our Coding Initiative , who have exhibited exceptional skills and commitment to mastering coding languages. We were honored to have esteemed guests Gaurav Mahindra, Sonali Banerjee, and Sanna Balappa Chinna bala krishna grace the event with their presence. Their encouragement and inspiration uplifted our graduates as they pursue higher education. Over the course of the program, our students have made a significant impact, with over 25,000 hours of self-led and instructor-led learning. This dedication reflects their determination to excel in the field of coding. The Graduation Ceremony showcased the incredible talents of our students through impressive project presentations. Utilizing languages such as Scratch, JavaScript, SQL, and Python, our graduates demonstrated their proficiency and creativity in solving real-world problems. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Wells Fargo for their unwavering support of the Coding Initiative. Their support has been instrumental in empowering aspiring coders and fostering a culture of innovation and learning. I am Asna Tarannum, ex-student of Govt. Girls High School 2nd Lancer Golconda. I'm doing an EC diploma from Nawab Shah Alam Khan college of engineering and technology.My intention to write this post is to thank all my supporters. I am thankful for having had the opportunity to learn coding languages. Thank you, Nirmaan and Well Fargo for your support over the past few years. I wish you all well in your future endeavors. I got good comments from my faculty for the good computer knowledge and skills that I gained in coding languages. All credit goes to Nirmaan organization, Wells Fargo and the Sana ma'am for teaching me the coding languages. I extend my gratitude to Srilatha ma’am for imparting coding skills to us.My computer teacher was surprised to see me already having the knowledge on coding languages and computers. I've told my sir, that in my school the students from 6th class learn scratch and coding languages. He then asked me which school I studied at. I said that I did my schooling from the Govt. high school. He did not trust me initially but later on when I showed him the pictures of the event, he did believe me.We were provided with tabs that helped us in learning not only computer languages but also other subjects.Words can never do justice to the immense contribution Nirmaan and Wells Fargo have made in our lives. I'm fortunate enough to be part of this govt school.

Volunteering Activity by Wellsfargo

Investing time with young minds could inspire them, boost their confidence and make them realize how important it is to set future goals. The day started off with quiz competition and drawing activities followed by the career guidance session. 60 Volunteers from Wells Fargo had invested their time towards interacting with the students of a government school in Hyderabad The entire school with 400 students had participated in this session. We are sure that the impact these activities have created would be for a lifetime. Celebrate International Women’s Day in Government Schools at Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Technology leaders from Wells Fargo conducted a session to motivate high-school students from government schools in Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad recently. Team Nirmaan Organization would like to thank Mili Joseph Pallavi Chippagiri and Parul Ghosh from Wells Fargo for sharing their personal stories and lessons learnt at the workplace during the interactive session, which helped motivate our students. The students enjoyed listening to the stories and anecdotes shared by the leaders on many aspects from their childhood years. The session encouraged students to cultivate good habits, be organized and learn to develop a habit of reading and writing. The leaders encouraged students to believe in themselves and that nothing is impossible to achieve if they have a goal and work towards it with dedication.
