Celebrating the Success of 876 Graduates from the Coding Initiative Program

Over 876 students from the Coding Initiative Program, supported by Wells Fargo, were honored at a graduation ceremony held in March 2025 across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Facilitated by Nirmaan, the celebrations were held at: - Government High School, Hoodi & Karnataka Public School, Varthur, Bengaluru. - Government Girls High School, Golconda & Nampally, Hyderabad. - Chennai High School, Ernavoor, Government High School, Ennore & Municipal Schools, Pallavaram, Chennai

These events were filled with inspiring speeches from school Head Masters and students, highlighting the impact of this initiative. Each graduate was proudly awarded a course completion certificate, recognizing their hard work. Beyond the classroom, students also showcased their skills in national-level Hackathon projects.

Over the past four years, this Nirmaan-led initiative has helped students with foundational knowledge in computers and programming languages, including Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Database, and Python.

Celebrating Student Innovation at Coding Hackathon 2024-25!

At Nirmaan, we are pleased to share the incredible journey of our students in the Coding Hackathon 2024-25, supported by Wells Fargo , held across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad on February 22, 2025.

Spanning school, state, and national levels in January and February, this hackathon provided students with a platform to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technological excellence. A total of 150+ innovative projects were developed, reflecting their passion and ingenuity. The Hackathon was a 2-month of hard work, ideas, competition and altogether a learning experience for our students.

Through a rigorous selection process, 51 projects advanced to the state-level hackathon, and 15 outstanding projects were chosen for the national-level competition, supported by Wells Fargo. Among these, three exceptional projects i.e., School Website, Bounce-in Ball Game, and Eco-Planet, secured positions in the Top 3.

Their journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing their continued success!

Our heartfelt thanks to Wells Fargo for their support in nurturing young talent, fostering innovation, and empowering future tech leaders. We extend our gratitude to the leadership of Bandana Jha and Sumona G. for not just supporting the program but scaling up to 5X in a span of 4 years. We started the project with 5000 students and are now impacting 25,000 students across Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Celebrating Success: A Glorious Graduation Ceremony

We are thrilled to share the joyous news of our Graduation Ceremony, held in Hyderabad on April 23rd, marking the culmination of our Coding Initiative. This event was a testament to the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of our remarkable students. Our Graduation Ceremony honored the achievements of students in our Coding Initiative , who have exhibited exceptional skills and commitment to mastering coding languages. We were honored to have esteemed guests Gaurav Mahindra, Sonali Banerjee, and Sanna Balappa Chinna bala krishna grace the event with their presence. Their encouragement and inspiration uplifted our graduates as they pursue higher education. Over the course of the program, our students have made a significant impact, with over 25,000 hours of self-led and instructor-led learning. This dedication reflects their determination to excel in the field of coding. The Graduation Ceremony showcased the incredible talents of our students through impressive project presentations. Utilizing languages such as Scratch, JavaScript, SQL, and Python, our graduates demonstrated their proficiency and creativity in solving real-world problems. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Wells Fargo for their unwavering support of the Coding Initiative. Their support has been instrumental in empowering aspiring coders and fostering a culture of innovation and learning. We extend our thanks to the School HMs, Wells Fargo Volunteers, and the leadership team of Wells Fargo, Bandana Jha, Sumona G. and Nitin Kashyap, for their amazing support and guidance throughout the program.
