Empowering Women through Skill Development and Vocational Training

On February 24, 2024, Pegasystems, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, sponsored and distributed advanced Singer sewing machines to 20 women beneficiaries from Nirmaan organization at our Skill Development Center in Siddique Nagar, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

These beneficiaries have successfully completed the vocational training on tailoring under Pega sponsored Entrepreneurial Development Program and are set to embark on their professional journey towards financial independence and, in turn, support their families.

As part of its ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment, Pegasystems has partnered with Nirmaan Organization, providing vocational training and entrepreneurial support to over 300 women in the past three years.

The distribution event was graced by leaders from Pegasystems, including Dr. Dr. Ddharaniikota Ssuyodhan, Lead Counsel - International Law & CSR Lead; Mr. Goutham Parcha, Vice President - Application Development; and Ms. Anuradha Pulla, Chief Operating Officer, Nirmaan Organization.

Grateful to Pegasystems and its leadership for empowering these women to achieve financial independence.

Volunteering Session on "Mental health and stress management"

The volunteers interacted with students by giving their introduction and asking the same of students. Few students came forward and gave their introduction. Then, Hindu mam explained how to give a proper introduction pointwise and asked more students to give their introduction accordingly. Students learn how to give a proper introduction and start Good health. Mam discussed points like Know your Deep Breathing. Often when faced with a stressful situation or feeling, our breathing changes. … The A's stand for Avoid, Alter, Accept, Adapt, and Assert. “Avoid alcohol and drugs,” suggests Maness, “Alter your schedule so you have time to eat healthy, exercise, relax and sleep Writing. Writing can be an effective means of working through stress.... Physical Activity.... Self-Talk, Art, Meditation, Puzzles and music Becoming easily agitated, frustrated, and moody. Feeling overwhelmed, as if you are losing control or need to take control. Having a hard time relaxing and quieting your mind. Feeling bad about yourself (low self-esteem), and feeling lonely, worthless, and depressed. Avoiding others One of the Students gave the feedback that they learnt some new points today to make communication effective and thanked the volunteers.

Volunteering Session on "Powerpoint " at Government Girls Inter College, Noida, and GSSS Kadipur School

You presented all the required information related to the topic with an excellent explanation PowerPoint presentation 2. How can you insert a video and image in a PowerPoint 3. What do you understand by placeholder 4. How to make the presentation attractive 5. what do you understand by slide view 6. How to add bookmark to a PowerPoint video 7. who to add slide PowerPoint, saving, insert, replacing a word, checking grammatical errors, formatting and editing texts, inserting and customizing an object. How to take help from help features in power point.

Nirmaan Have touched 63 Covid Affected Families

Have touched 63 Covid affected families(32 from Rangareddy district & 31 from Hyderabad district) through the rehabilitation of the covid affected families program. Nirmaan team collected data from the women from the Department of Women Development & Child welfare. Connected personally with the needy families, collected the type of rehab needed, and distributed it to them. To name a few distributed Sewing machines, Kirana shop material, Pico machine, Beautician kit, and many more… The Livelihood kits support given to Covid affected widow families will enable them to restart their livelihood. These are the same families, which are severely impacted by the death of their husbands in the COVID-19 pandemic, and their livelihoods almost shut down due to the low volume of business. Thanks to Pegasystems for supporting the Rehabilitation program.

Volunteering Session on “Menstrual Hygeiene” For Women.

On 07-May-2022, Nirmaan's corporate partner "Pega" has conducted a session on "Menstrual Hygeiene". 1 volunteer from "Pega" have imparted knowledge to the women for 1 hour. The session was very interactive and stressed on the importance of nutritious food during periods. The discussion on cultural and religious taboos on menstruation was useful for the women. We from Nirmaan organization express our sincere gratitude to the volunteers and the partner for the valuable time and knowledge.

Volunteering Session on “Importance of Digital Education”

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude towards Aditya Valli Kollimarla Ddharaniikota Ssuyodhan for setting up this brilliant opportunity and Satish Segu for taking up the wonderful session and his active participation in the “Importance of Digital Education ” virtual session. The session was very helpful to the 28 school children of ZPHS Thadkapally. It was overall an enlightening and insightful session!
