About the Program

Natural disasters can erase decades of progress in mere hours. The Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Program by Nirmaan is designed to respond rapidly and rebuild sustainably. From emergency relief within 72 hours to long-term recovery across shelter, healthcare, education, and livelihoods, the program supports disaster-hit families with dignity and speed.

Nirmaan has been implementing disaster relief initiatives across multiple Indian states, supporting thousands of families and rebuilding homes, schools, and lives. The program also prioritizes preparedness and capacity-building to enhance resilience and mitigate future risks.

Testimonials

“I have been stitching clothes for the past 2–3 years. Unfortunately, during the Godavari floods, my sewing machine was damaged, and I could no longer continue my work. Thanks to the kind support of the Nirmaan Organization, I received a new sewing machine and was able to resume stitching with joy and renewed hope. Now, I earn around ₹200–₹300 every day through my work. In addition to the machine, the organization also provided essential groceries like rice, lentils, and other household items.”
