Around 350 students at SVHS come from families where parents work as farmers, daily wage labourers, drivers, helpers, or small vendors - working every single day just to have three meals a day. Some children arrive without proper uniforms or school bags. For many families, even paying fees on time is a genuine struggle.
Despite this, these children show up every day, eager and willing to learn. Recognising this, SVHS has been actively working to go beyond just academics - introducing Hatha Yoga, Abacus training, special Maths and English classes, science fairs, ISRO space exhibitions, support sessions for children with special needs, and educational field trips.
All aimed at giving rural children the same exposure and confidence available to students in leading urban schools.
