In a tiny village Jherli near Pilani, Rajasthan, Jyoti Kawar is fighting a battle no mother should face alone. Her husband, a daily wager and the only breadwinner, passed away in late August due to tuberculosis. Left without savings, she now carries the responsibility of raising her four daughters - Nisha (14), Radika (12), Payal (8), and little Sita (3).
Mahesh Shekhawat, an alumnus of BITS Pilani and a native of the same village, felt it as his responsibility to step forward, and a collective call for help for Jyoti was initiated.
Despite the hardships, the children continue to attend a government school. However, education, nutrition, and even basic health care are slipping beyond their reach. Jyoti has faced a devastating loss, but her determination and the support she receives can open the door to a brighter future.
Moved by Jyoti's struggle, villagers have already come forward, raising small contributions to help her manage immediate needs. But sustaining the family in the long run requires broader support.
Every rupee adds up to create dignity and security for Jyoti's family. Help us sustain Jyoti's family for one full year through:
Books, uniforms, and basic learning support
Nutritious monthly food kits to secure three meals a day
Medicines, doctor consultations, and daily hygiene items for the girls
Your support can help Jyoti feed her children, keep them in school, and access the healthcare they need.
Let’s Stand with Mahesh Shekhawat and help Jyoti’s Family
