Life in underserved corners of Hyderabad isn't defined by poverty alone. Many women carry invisible weights. Weights of unpaid labor, societal expectations, and silenced dreams. Most of them are mothers, caretakers, survivors. Some have faced violence, others never got the chance to study. All of them share one thing in common — the desire to do more for their families, if only they had the means.
For these women, stepping into a skill training program itself is a quiet rebellion. But courage alone doesn't stitch livelihoods.
That's why a group of high school students who are passionate about creating real, meaningful change have come up. They're launching Stitching Dreams, a campaign to provide 10 underprivileged women with stitching skills, machines, mentorship, and the support to start working from their homes with dignity.
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." — Aesop
Training in stitching to help her start earning fast.
A sewing machine lets her earn without leaving her family behind.
Mentorship and market access to turn learning into income.
Every contribution creates opportunity and independence for women who've never had either. Let's turn skills into livelihoods together.

"We started this fundraiser after learning about how many women in underserved communities have the talent and drive to work, but the lack the means to do so. We realized that providing sewing machines and training could help them build steady incomes, take pride in their skills, and support their families with confidence."
DRS International School - Grade 12
"Hearing about women held back by limited resources made us realize how impactful a simple skill like sewing can be - not just as a source of income, but as a step toward self-reliance and long-term stability."
DRS International School - Grade 12
"We were motivated to start this fundraiser after realizing how something as simple as a sewing machine could empower women to become financially independent and support their families."

"Through this fundraiser, we wanted to give women the tools they need to change their lives. Sewing machines don't just help generate income — they give women a sense of independence, dignity, and the power to create a better future for themselves and their families."
