The Chenchu community, a Vulnerable Tribal Group from Amaragiri village in Nagarkurnool district, was once trapped in bonded labor. They were rescued by the state government but unfortunately faced the threat again.
Witnessing their dire circumstances, Nirmaan intervened to support these communities through our PVTG Village Adoption Program, with steadfast assistance from ServiceNow.
Together, we provided boats, essential resources, and capacity building in entrepreneurship (EDP), ensuring their independence and keeping them away from the vicious cycle of bonded labor.
Today, we are proud that these communities have significantly progressed from their dire conditions. Our continued commitment and interventions are empowering the Chenchus toward a sustainable and independent future.
