Rotary International District 3150, in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization, is proud to support the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKM) which supplies daily, nutritious meals to the poor and underprivileged through the Anna Canteens Program of Andhra Pradesh State Government. This life-saving initiative ensures that no one in need goes hungry, and with your support, we can scale its impact even further.
For over a decade, the HKM Charitable Foundation has successfully served over 160 million meals to those in need. In partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Government, the foundation’s kitchen supplies daily meals to 33 Anna Canteens located across Mangalagiri, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bapatla, Tadepalli, Narasaraopet, Chirala, and beyond, through its state-of-the-art community kitchen in Mangalagiri. However, with demand skyrocketing to over 40,000 meals daily, the kitchen’s existing capacity of 25,000 meals per day is no longer sufficient, leading to heavy reliance on manual labor to cope with demand. The HKM Charitable Foundation is part of ISKCON Movement and a sister organization of the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
To meet this rising demand, the Mangalagiri kitchen requires an urgent upgrade. By modernizing the facility with advanced equipment such as curry machines, vegetable cutting machines, poori-making machines, insulated containers, and food distribution vehiclesthe kitchen’s capacity will increase to 50,000 meals daily, with the flexibility to scale up by an additional 30% during emergencies.
The total cost of this essential expansion is 2.255 crores. With your help, we can ensure that this facility is equipped to continue feeding those in need.
Nirmaan Organization, as the enabling partner for Rotary International District 3150, plays a crucial role in making this expansion possible.

The Anna Canteens Program in Andhra Pradesh provides highly subsidized meals at just 5 to ensure affordable access to nutritious food for low-income communities. Launched in 2018, the program aims to combat hunger and promote food security across the state, serving meals in collaboration with charitable organizations and NGOs such as Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation.
The Anna Canteens served by the Mangalagiri kitchen are located across several regions, including Mangalagiri, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bapatla, Tadepalli, Narasaraopet, and Chirala, among others.
This project will provide more meals to those in need, reduce food insecurity in Andhra Pradesh, and create a reliable meal system even in times of crisis. The upgraded kitchen will serve not only daily meals but also provide a lifeline during emergencies.
The goal is to raise ₹2.255 crores to expand and upgrade the Mangalagiri kitchen, which currently provides 25,000 meals daily. The expansion will increase the kitchen’s capacity to serve 50,000 meals per day, with an additional 30% capacity during emergencies.
Your donation will go toward the purchase of modern kitchen equipment, such as curry machines, vegetable cutters, poori-making machines, insulated containers, and food distribution vehicles. This equipment will allow the kitchen to operate more efficiently and increase meal production capacity.
